Dr Deepthi Molleti pursued her basic medical education from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, followed by her Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery (DOMS) from JJM Medical College, Davangere, and her Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in ophthalmology from Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore.
Later, she underwent two fellowships in phacoemulsification and glaucoma, both at Shankara Netralaya, Chennai, and is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), UK.
Dr Molleti is a member of key national and international ophthalmology bodies, including the All-India Ophthalmological Society, the Glaucoma Society of India, the European Glaucoma Society, the Karnataka State Ophthalmic Society, the Davangere Ophthalmic Society, and the Andhra Pradesh Ophthalmic Society.
She has clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of primary and secondary glaucoma (including congenital/childhood glaucoma), advanced glaucoma diagnostics like OCT, HVF, and gonioscopy, and laser procedures. Her areas of surgical interest include cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, Irido-Zonulo-Hyaloido-Vitrectomy, laser procedures, and other procedures.
With several publications to her name in peer-reviewed journals, Dr Molleti has delivered papers and presentations at various national-level conferences.
She is also passionate about teaching and has mentored fellows on topics like ethics, clinical techniques, and decision-making, provided hands-on training in phaco and SICS techniques, and led discussions aimed at improving academic engagement and clinical reasoning.
