Dr Kiran Chandra completed her primary medical education from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore and Master of Surgery in Ophthalmology from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. She pursued a fellowship in Retina and Vitreous from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and is also a fellow of the International Council of ophthalmology. Currently, she is working as a consultant ophthalmologist at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.
Her areas of interest are macular and choroidal disorders, retinal imaging and vitreo-retinal surgeries. Dr Kiran Chandra has several national and international presentations, book chapters and publications in reputed international journals.
