Rohit Dhakal

Rohit Dhakal completed his graduation in Optometry and Vision Science from NSHM Knowledge Campus, West Bengal, India, in the year 2014. He did his fellowship in Cornea and contact lens at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, following which worked as a consultant optometrist in ‘The Cornea Institute’ LVPEI. After gaining 2 years of clinical experience, Rohit joined Myopia Research Lab, Brien Holden Eye Research Centre. Currently, he is pursuing PhD from City, University of London, UK, and also serves as a consultant optometrist in ‘The Myopia Centre’. Passionate about learning new skills and teaching, his areas of interest are investigating interactive role of light with causation and progression of myopia, change in bio-mechanical properties of sclera in pre-myopic eye, and optical correction as an anti-myopia strategies. Rohit has several scientific publications, and also serves as a reviewers in national and international peer-reviewed journals. Apart from myopia, he also keeps a deep interest in clinical optometry, aberrations in ectatic cornea, imaging and contact lenses.
