The L V Prasad Eye Institute welcomed over 70 employees from Optum India, including members of their leadership team, for a plantation drive at the upcoming LVPEI Eye Hospital at the Ramnagar Campus in Rudraram, Patancheru, Telangana, on August 22, 2026.

This plantation drive contributes to the development of a greener and healthier campus. Volunteers enthusiastically participated in planting saplings across the campus which is currently under development. The new center is expected to serve more than 200 patients and perform around 20 eye surgeries every working day. Slated for inauguration around November this year, the center is expected to significantly expand access to quality eye care for communities across the region.

The Optum team expressed their appreciation for LVPEI’s work and the impact the new eye center is expected to create. The volunteers were particularly encouraged by the opportunity to contribute to the campus in a meaningful way. The trees planted during the drive will grow alongside the hospital, in alignment with LVPEI’s Green Campus policy.

It was such a pleasure to have friends from Optum on our still under-construction facility. Like our association, both the plantation and our building will grow together to be ready in the near future to welcome all those who need eye care. Such a beautiful way of exhibiting true partnership.
