The World Sight Day 2026 activities of the Liberia Eye Center extended beyond Monrovia with an outreach program at St. Michael’s Healthcare and Revival Center in Vincent Town, Bomi County. The outreach aimed to bring eye-health awareness and screening services closer to the community. It gave people an opportunity to learn about looking after their eyes, recognizing vision problems and seeking professional care when needed.

Community outreach programs play an important role in raising awareness of eye health and encouraging people to seek services, particularly those who may find it difficult to reach specialized eye-care facilities. Through this activity, the LVPEI–Liberia Eye Center continued its efforts to reach communities outside the capital and promote eye health as part of overall health and well-being.
