L V Prasad Eye Institute’s upgraded Madhapur Centre named as Lahoti Eye Centre

Providing advanced equitable eye care services to all

Hyderabad, February 06, 2021: L V Prasad Eye Institute’s City Centre at Madhapur has been upgraded with the generous support received from Raisaheb Pannalaji Hiralalji Lahoti Trust - a family trust set up by the family of Sri Suresh Chandra Lahoti (Chairman Trustee). The Centre is now named as The Lahoti Eye Centre. The formal inauguration will happen today at 5 pm in the presence of Chief Guest Mr Syed Akbaruddin, IFS (Retired) Former India’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations. 

Over the years, the family trust has supported many educational institutes, initiated several fellowship programs and promoted art, culture and heritage. In alignment to L V Prasad Eye Institute's mission to make quality eye care services accessible and affordable for all, the trust has made a significant contribution towards this state-of-the-art eye care facility at Madhapur. 

This centre is one of the three Urban City Centres of L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. Spread across four floors, it offers comprehensive outpatient and surgical services. Each floor has a reception area, patient waiting area and four examination rooms.  It also has two state-of-the-art operating theatres. Weekly, on average, over 1000 outpatients are examined, and 30 surgeries are performed. 

The clinical services offered are Comprehensive Eye Examination, Cataract, Cornea, Glaucoma, Vitreo Retinal Services, Refractive services, Diagnostics and Teleconsultation, and the surgical services include Cataract and Glaucoma surgeries along with retina injections.  The Opticals outlet offers a wide range of lenses and frames, and also low vision assistive devices. Home care will be provided to people in and around the Cybercity. Also, services will be provided free of cost to those in need, irrespective of the complexity of care needed.
