CPD Program on Operation Theatre Practices and Infection Prevention at KVC, Vijayawada

The Kode Venkatadri Chowdary (KVC) Campus in Vijayawada conducted a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Cross-Learning Session on Operation Theatre (OT) Policies, Practices, Infection Prevention, and Related Protocols on June 14, 2026. The program was designed to encourage cross-learning and knowledge exchange across teams and centres to enhance the standard of eye care across the LVPEI network.
A total of 62 nursing professionals, from the KVC Campus and the Secondary Centres supported by the KVC Village Vision Complex (VVC), came together to share their experiences, centre-specific practices and protocols. The program served as a space for teams from different centres to exchange experiences, share OT policies and systems, and learn from one another’s everyday practices. Presentations and interactive discussions also served as an opportunity to enhance existing knowledge, promote uniformity in OT practices, and strengthen the quality and safety of patient care services across the LVPEI eye care network.
