Dr Umesh Behera delivers lecture at 73rd TNOA Annual Meeting 2026

Dr Umesh Behera, LVPEI Campus Head at the Mithu Tulsi Chanrai (MTC) Campus in Bhubaneswar was invited to deliver a lecture at the 73rd Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Association (TNOA) Annual Meeting- ‘KOVEYE Deja Vu 2026’.

His lecture was part of a session titled, ‘AIOS Scientific Committee Session – How has advances in ophthalmology helped us?’ Dr Behera’s topic, ‘Endophthalmitis Management Study’ focused on presenting the outcomes of the study. Further explaining the study, Dr Behera said, “The study recommends use of Colistin as empiric therapy in the management of endophthalmitis and antibiotic of choice in gram negative bacilli endophthalmitis and talks about the usefulness of next-generation sequencing in the microbiological work up of endophthalmitis.”
