LVPEI Explains Eye Donation on Doordarshan Odisha

To mark Eye Donation Fortnight in August, Dr Sujata Das, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Medical Director of Drushti Daan Eye Bank, appeared on Doordarshan Odisha’s Health Show to speak on eye donation and how to pledge one’s eyes.

Drushti Daan Eye Bank is part of the L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) Eye Bank network and operates from the Mithu Tulsi Chanrai (MTC) campus in Bhubaneswar.

In the programme, Dr Das explained why eye donation matters, how viewers can pledge their eyes, and who is eligible to donate. She also walked viewers through how an eye donation takes place, and urged them to come forward and pledge.
