LVPEI’s 284th Vision Centre Inaugurated at Nirmal District

Further strengthening its commitment to making quality eye care accessible to everyone, L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) inaugurated a new Vision Centre, the Kuchadi Sathyamma & Prakash Rao Vision Centre in the Nirmal district of Telangana, on June 13, 2026, expanding its eye care network in Telangana.

The inauguration marks another important milestone in LVPEI’s continued efforts to build a strong community-based eye care network! The Vision Centre at Nirmal will be LVPEI’s 284th Vision Centre and will be connected to the LVPEI Bhosle Gopal Rao Patil Eye Centre, Secondary Centre in Mudhole. The establishment of this vision centre was made possible by the support of Standard Chartered Bank and Sri Kuchadi Sri Hari Rao & family and is named after the parents of Sri Kuchadi Sri Hari Rao.

The newly established Vision Centre was inaugurated by Sri Jupally Krishna Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Prohibition & Excise, Tourism, Culture and Archaeology, Government of Telangana, in the presence of several dignitaries, including public representatives, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.

Among the dignitaries present at the inauguration was Mr Vedma Bhojju, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Khanapur and President, District Congress Committee (DCC), Nirmal district. Mr Samudrala Venugopal, former Member of Parliament, and Mr Gaddigari Vittal Reddy, former MLA, Mudhole were also present at the event, along with Mr Appala Ganesh Chakravathi, Municipal Vice-Chairman, Nirmal District.

Prominent members from the medical fraternity and several community leaders from the region including Dr K Rajender, District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Nirmal District, and Mr Gandranath Eshwar, former Municipal Chairman, Nirmal District, were also present.

Through its Vision Centre model, LVPEI aims to ensure early detection, timely intervention, and seamless access to comprehensive eye care services for communities at the grassroots level.
