Faculty Win Multiple Honors at OPAI 2026

Consultant ophthalmologists and faculty across the network won multiple awards at the Oculoplasty Association of India (OPAI) 2026 conference, held in Kochi recently.

Dr Anasua Ganguly Kapoor won the OPAI Best Video Award for ‘Yellow Laser Therapy for Benign Ocular Surface Lesions: A Minimally Invasive Alternative to Surgery’. She was also the first runner-up in the Case Presentation category for her presentation, ‘Beyond the Scalpel’. In addition, Dr Anasua Ganguly Kapoor and Dr Milind Naik were awarded the first runner-up position in the Oculoplasty HYROX competition.

Ms Syeda Roohi Mateen secured the second runner-up position in the Best E-Poster category for her presentation, ‘Ophthalmic Manifestations of Sinonasal Non-Keratinizing Squamous Cell Carcinoma,’ and the second runner-up position in the Grand Oculoplasty Quiz.

These achievements further highlight LVPEI’s commitment towards research and best practices in pursuit of excellence.

Dr Milind Naik also conducted a workshop on botulinum toxin injectables, a hands-on workshop for the delegates at the conference. Through the workshop, participants received training on how to inject the substance using silicone mannequins as subjects.
