Second LVPEI Network Educators Meet Held in Visakhapatnam

The second Network Educators Meeting was held on September 26, 2026 at L V Prasad Eye Institute’s (LVPEI) GMR Varalakshmi (GMRV) Campus, Visakhapatnam, bringing together 23 members for collaborative learning and discussions focused on strengthening teaching and research competencies across the network.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review and strengthen approaches to teaching, learning, and research. Key sessions focused on Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) and lesson planning for the ‘Consuming Knowledge Consciously (CKC)‘ session and cataract training, using Gagné’s instructional framework.
The meeting also explored the use of AI-assisted text and voice tools in clinical history-taking. In addition, sessions focused on strengthening educators’ research skills, including effective literature searching using PubMed, writing research introductions, and using reference management tools.
